HD Supply Facilities Maintenance Supports Furnishing Hope

HD Supply Facilities Maintenance is committed to finding ways to use their resources to build communities and support our troops. They recently donated soft goods — including more than $83,000 worth of towels, sheets, pillows, and bath mats — to Furnishing Hope to be used in home installations and delivered to wounded warriors through partner nonprofit organizations including the Naval Medical Center San Diego, Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Trials, Orange County Stand Down, Veterans First, and Warriors Built.

HD Supply Facilities Maintenance's Dan McInerney, Vice President of Distribution and Logistics, joined Furnishing Hope Executive Director Beth Phillips and her team at Camp Pendleton to mark the occasion.

HD Supply and Furnishing Hope recognize that many wounded veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan face a difficult transition back to civilian life. In addition to debilitating health conditions, they can experience financial stress and substandard housing. Some leave the hospital to live in empty houses without furniture or other comforts, and their children may lack beds or the basic amenities that make a house a home.
